One of the Clubs founder members is now chairman of the Midland Centre of the
MG Car Club, and a number of our other members are also quite heavily
involved. This means that a number of our activities are arranged in association
with the centre, and we also like to work closely with a number of other clubs
within the locality.
The club is not only associated with the MG Car Club, but also has very good
relationships with other local clubs which are affiliated to the MG Owners Club.
In general, we enjoy a cross section of activities organised by all types
of clubs, and even enjoy the odd Morgan or other non-MG related events.
Where car events are concerned, the club enjoys all sorts of events, many of our
members particularly enjoy treasure hunts and scenic runs as well as the more usual
concours type of MG event. Essentially, as a club we partake in a very wide variety
of events, and are willing to give anything a go!
This much is especially true when it comes to motor sport. We have a number of
members who are motor racing fanatics, and as a club we are often to be seen
in attendence at local MG and non-MG racing events.
As a club, we come into our element when we are on social events. A number of our
members have mastered the art of socialising with all the MG and non-MG fraternity
very well, and as a club we again like to have a variety of social events.
Typically this includes meals out, our monthly natters, the local MG club
skittles challenge, etc.
This gives the club a very relaxed and family atmosphere, where we not only enjoy our MG's
and the events associated with them, but also enjoy a number of other activities which are
less MG oriented.
